Nell Cooper

Nell has a passion for words, and a love of exotic locations. She is a storyteller, teacher and `international woman of mystery.’

Nell moved to full-time writing after many years as a teacher-librarian and visual arts teacher. She has learned the craft of writing through courses at the University of Sydney and the Australian Writers Centre. Nell is currently minding a primary school library, and madly preparing her community for early Book Week celebrations. She loves working with children and connecting them with books and reading.

Nell Cooper’s debut novel `NOAH SARK and the Mothership’ was long listed for the 2019 CBCA Aspiring Writers Mentorship Program.

After returning from Europe last year Nell drafted a related picture book, and is currently researching for the second book in the NOAH SARK series. Noah’s quest is not over yet and the stakes are getting higher!

Nell Cooper lives in a leafy suburb of Sydney with her partner, and an occasional red cat.
